Vancouver Island April 2026 Market Update

The Vancouver Island real estate market remained steady in March 2026, with 636 unit sales, up 1% year over year. Active listings across the Island reached 3,776, up 2% from the previous year.

Breaking it down further:

• 302 single-family homes sold in March 2026, up 2% year over year and up 32% from February 2026
• 72 condo apartments sold, down 15% year over year but up 53% from February
• 71 row/townhomes sold, down 3% year over year and up 29% from February

This tells us that spring momentum is building, and buyers are becoming more active as inventory improves. If you’ve been watching the Nanaimo real estate market, this season could offer more opportunities for both buyers and sellers.
